Football has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Being one of the key dates, the 1st of May 2011, the day I made my debut in the First Division under Marcelino García Toral. Together with the 24th of May 2011, when I sign with Racing Santander, my first contract as a professional for four seasons.
After my training in the fields of Sardinero, on July 11, 2012 I signed for Real Zaragoza. That season I was called up by the coach of the Spanish U21 national team, Julen Lopetegui, to play in the European Championship.
On 12 June 2013, against the Netherlands, I made my international debut with 'la roja', and a few days later, on 18 June, I won my first title, beating Italy in the final.
On 29 July 2014 I signed my return to the First Division with Espanyol, the club where I obtained my best numbers as a professional: 88 official games played.
Two years later I arrived at Villarreal Club de Fútbol, a club where I played three seasons in the 1st Division and with which I also had the good fortune to participate in the UEFA Europa League.
After the Yellow Submarine, on 19 July 2019, my transfer to Olympique de Marseille was completed. This was my first sporting experience outside Spain, a challenge that I enjoyed to the fullest and that came to an end after my transfer to the Saudi team Al-Nassr in the summer of 2022.
On 30 August 2022, I signed my contract with Al-Nassr, a historic club in the Saudi professional football league, to join a sporting experience that contrasts with my recent career and gives it a more international character. Al-Nassr has an exciting proposition for the development of football in Saudi Arabia and I am sure that together we will succeed in rewriting history.
